The general perception about the elections of 2019 is that the BJP in anyway will take the form of the government. People are confident that Modi will win the next election too. But, analysts who analyze the political situation believe that even though the BJP may form the government in 2019, it is more difficult for Modi to become a PM. It is also believed that if Modi will not be PM then Rahul Gandhi will also not be in a condition to become the Prime Minister.

In the last Lok Sabha elections, BJP had won maximum seats in every state. In many states, he had got all the seats. But this time things are not going to happen like that. The number of seats the party got in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Karnataka, Delhi, Haryana and Punjab; it is not possible to get that much again. If the condition of the BJP remains best, then it can get up to 220 seats and in this condition he will also form the government. But it is very unlikely that Narendra Modi will be the head of the coalition government lead by the BJP.
The leaders of most parties believe that it is not possible to stay in coalition with Narendra Modi. He can not remain loyal to colleagues and he can keep bothering them to create his own image. Comparatively, names like Mamta Banerjee and Naveen Patnaik are being considered in comparison to this. Some people believe that a leader like Modi's trusted Arun Jaitley may come after mutual manipulation, but Jaitley is also very aggressive and there is little space for such leaders in the coalition.
A prominent leader of the Congress has even said that the less authoritarian and more affable BJP leader Rajnath Singh may be acceptable to potential allies in case of hung parliament. Modi can only form a government when BJP gets 240 seats on its own. When asked for a resolution from Sonia Gandhi about 2019, she refused to comment on this. The surprise is that Congressmen seem less likely to get consent on the name of Rahul Gandhi.
On the other hand, in the Congress party, the Congress' rise in the Gujarat elections and its victory in the bypoll of Rajasthan has resulted in the communication of a new energy in the party. Most Congress workers, including party president Rahul Gandhi, have hoped to bring the party's lost credentials back in 2019. According to experts, the image of Rahul Gandhi in the present scenario is also very bright among the people. Rahul is gentle, so the other parties have hardly any objection to his name. But all the assumptions are coming very fast. Let us wait for 2019. What will be the environment that will be known at the time of elections only?
