The opposition is adamant on its demand that the Home Minister should give a statement in case of breach in the security of Parliament, while the ruling party is underlining that the responsibility of security inside the Parliament lies with the Speaker of the Lok Sabha and in such a situation, the demand for the statement of the Home Minister is justified. No. It would have been better if the parties and the opposition had talked to each other and tried to find a middle path in this matter.
It is not right that the opposition's uproar continues regarding the breach in the security of Parliament. Due to this uproar, more than 140 opposition MPs have been suspended from Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. This is a record number. The suspension of such a large number of MPs knowingly or unknowingly sent out the message that the ruling party is not ready to listen and understand the opposition, but the fact cannot be ignored that the MPs of the opposition parties who are demanding Home Minister Amit Shah's statement, are deliberately creating such circumstances which may lead to their suspension.
